From consulting local businesses in underserved communities to exploring social entrepreneurship in India, I have learned that business can be a powerful mechanism to drive social change and empowerment. I also understand that I don’t have to wait to create that change. Your business education only starts in the classroom. My mother pushed me to pursue business by convincing me that my background in musical theatre would set a powerful foundation for my business education. In 2016, I was given the opportunity to lead a student team in the annual Foreign Market Strategy Project sponsored by MOD Pizza. The competition was particularly m eaningful, because it was one of my first opportunities to lead outside the classroom. While our win truly validated my confidence as a leader, what truly resonated with me was how the experience reinforced my ambition to solve complex global problems. Following the competition, my team was able to visit MOD Pizza headquarters and present our strategy to the executive team, which I felt truly affirmed my voice as a future global leader ready to create an impact.Which classmate do you most admire? Raphael Gaultier. Raphael represents the kind of multidimensional leader that I aspire to be. She won the inaugural Accenture Student Consultant of the Year award for her work with the Consulting and Business Development Center. She has competed and won numerous case competitions at Foster, and represented the school at the Australia International Case Competition. And she has interned at Artemis Connection, Avanade and PwC, where she took 3rd place in the firm’s national intern case competition.Kate would give Foster much of the credit for her success. Through the utilization of geometry to describe celestial firmament, he wishes to accurately demonstrate mechanics with a direction guided by the foundations of geometry. Since mass—or the quantity of matter—and acceleration are both quantities that can be measured, it seems Newton gives the reader a means of measuring the forces that are to governed the natural world. If one begins to tr eat forces as measurable quantities, then one can endeavor to identify two ostensibly discordant forces as a single, compounded force through thinking of them as measurements. It is this move by Newton that appears to be revolutionary in a world that solely treated material bodies with properties like size, shape, mobility and solidness. For example in proposition one of book one, gravity presents itself as a kind of centripetal force, or impressed force on a material body. Thus the body moving in a straight line will continue to do so until it experiences a gravitational pull (seen in the body’s movement from point B to C, C to D etc.) in which case it will diverge from a straight line motion produced by its inherent force.
